Duke of Edinburgh Hikes in October
Yo dudes. Although it seems miles away, our
DofE Hikes - 22 Oct are fast approaching. In order to kick off the preparation so it's all a nice relaxed affair, we need to finalise teams now. We're looking for at least 4 people to do their Silver Hike, and 4 people to do their Bronze hike - both on the same weekend. So if you're lacking a signature in your D of E book for this section of your award, please sign up now! Closing date is 31st July.
Welcome to the online home of the 20th Gillingham Explorer Scouts, based in Hempstead, Gillingham, Kent.
We're a group of 14-18 year olds who like to do more than watch television or sit on postboxes. We like to watch television and sit on postboxes while lapping Brands Hatch. While learning to fly gliders. While going camping. While getting our powerboat licenses. While flying in microlight aircraft. In short, adventurous activities are our bag, baby!
We have a weekly meeting on Thursday nights in our HQ, from 8pm 'till 10pm. We're know we can't go camping or flying on Thursday evenings, so we mess around with cookers. We do rallies. We go bowling, have water fights, enjoy BBQs, build our own cinemas, challenge each other with Weird Experiments.
